Who We Are
Segurient was founded with one purpose: to make getting the right insurance in Spain straightforward for expats.
We know the frustration firsthand. The language barrier, the unfamiliar terminology, the policies that seem simple on the surface but turn out to be full of clauses you didn’t understand. The moment you realise the insurance you’ve had for two years doesn’t actually cover what you thought it did.
We built Segurient to be the broker we wished we’d had when we first moved here — honest, knowledgeable, accessible, and always on your side.
Our team is made up of both British and Spanish nationals, all of whom live and work on the Costa del Sol. We know the local market, the local insurers, and the specific situations that expats face — because we’ve faced many of them ourselves.
We’re independent, which means we’re not tied to any single insurer. We work with all of Spain’s leading providers and compare their products to find the right fit for each client’s circumstances. Our income comes from the insurer when you take out a policy — our advice and quotation service costs you nothing.

Segurient is registered with the Dirección General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones (DGS), the Spanish regulatory authority for insurance intermediaries.
We are bound by the obligations set out under Spanish insurance mediation law (Ley 26/2006 de Mediación en Seguros y Reaseguros Privados), including duties of transparency, suitability and client best interests.
